For Future Doctors

Future medical students can apply here for the Dr. Samuel Bride Scholarship for Medical Students, where a prize of $1,000 will be awarded to one student who is studying on the road to become a medical student. The requirement for entry is a short essay and the winner will be chosen based off of the content in that essay.

Scholarship Overview

Dr. Samuel Bride spent many years studying to become a medical professional and would like a chance to give back to the future generation of medical students with this scholarship award.

The Dr. Samuel Bride Scholarship for Medical Students is announcing our fund for future medical students, which is located in the United States and will be giving a monetary reward to a deserving student that is studying to enter the field of medicine as well as create awareness for the wide range of issues faced by young students on the path to becoming doctors.

Criteria

To apply, you should be a current student at a university in the United States who is on the road to become a medical doctor, or high school student that will attend university for a medical degree.

The scholarship will be awarded based on an essay contest.  We will choose one winner based on the best essay of under 1000 words which answers the following:  

“A medical degree comes with great responsibility.  How would you use your skills to help those in need and improve upon a problem in the world.”

Amount

One time award of $1,000

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 15, 2023.

Winner Announced

The winner for the scholarship will be announced Mary 15, 2023.

How to Apply

Students should email their response to the essay question “A medical degree comes with great responsibility.  How would you use your skills to help those in need and improve upon a problem in the world.” in Word Doc format to [email protected].

Along with the essay, please provide the following information:
